Alternative Energy on the Farm

Small and Beginner Farmers of NH, Cheshire/Sullivan/ Hillsborough group and Stonewall Farm are pleased to present a forum on Alternative Energy on the Farm, Tuesday April 25th from 1 to 4 PM at Stonewall Farm, 242 Chesterfield Rd, Keene, NH. This event is free and open to the public.Registration is appreciated so we can make sure we have enough handouts.

The afternoon will start with a workshop with Bob Eldredge, Energy Advisor of ABC Energy Savings, LLC. The workshop will educate you on ways to reduce energy usage on your farm, tips on do-it-yourself energy saving projects, available rebate programs for the home, and opportunities for alternative energy practices such as solar energy.

At 3 PM, a panel will share on a variety of alternative energy projects such as solar powered wells and fences, and the Rural Energy for America Program REAP which provides loan guarantees and grant funding to eligible agricultural producers and for-profit small businesses. Funds may be used to purchase or install renewable energy systems or to make energy efficiency improvements. Following the presentations will be a time for participants to visit displays and have conversations with the presenters.
